20/20 Vision

Last Thursday, the collaborative project with Marjo took me to Brighton. I fail to remember the last time I stepped foot on a beach but won't be forgetting this experience – as the frost bite sensation felt in my fingers was continually mocked by the glowing sun. Despite the freezing weather we managed to document the area where the West Pier once stretched; trying not to become too occupied by its skeleton remains stood just offshore.

Our icosahedron structure/pinhole camera provided a platform – for the 20-year-old film we were using – to absorb the space from 20 different angles. I'm intrigued to see how the moments on the beach were recorded by a tool from the past – if it will show its history, leave any marks… I would be grateful for it to just simply work at all though!
